The Gorham Arts Alliance is a community of creative and talented educators, artists and community members, passionate about the arts.
Our mission is to inspire, enrich, and strengthen our community by making the visual and performing arts accessible and meaningful for people of all ages and backgrounds. We provide innovative arts education and creative experiences that foster creativity, confidence, lifelong learning, and connection.
Our vision is a community where everyone—regardless of age, background, ability, or economic circumstance—has the opportunity to create, learn, participate, and belong through the arts.
Our community impact extends beyond arts education. Our programs help children develop curiosity, imagination, confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while providing adults and older adults with opportunities for creative expression, lifelong learning, and social connection. By creating accessible and inclusive opportunities, we reduce barriers to participation and strengthen connections among individuals, families, and the broader community. Through the arts, we are building a community that is more creative, connected, inclusive, and engaged.

Our historic building, originally constructed in 1830, has long been a cornerstone of community life. Over the years, it has served as a general store, later became home to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in the early 1900s, was transformed into a community hall in 2008, and in 2014 welcomed the Gorham Arts Alliance as its first permanent home.
With its original hardwood floors and classic tin ceilings, the first floor offers a welcoming lobby, a music room, and an open movement space. Upstairs, the second floor features a 120-seat, state-of-the-art performance hall that has become a vibrant stage for theater productions, concerts, and community gatherings alike.
Today, we are proud to provide the community with a creative hub that not only hosts performances but also offers private and group music lessons, a visual and performance arts focused afterschool program, a space for senior citizen to engage and year-round opportunities for young and old.
Community is at the heart of everything we do and we are here to help all artists grow their knowledge, build their skills, and discover the joy of all things arts and theater.
